Falling in Love All Over Again with Abercrombie {Spring/Summer Fashion}

Y'all, I have not walked into an Abercrombie since college! And honestly, just saying "Abercrombie" makes my head go, "I like girls that wear Abercrombie & Fitch. I'd take her if I had one wish." If you have no idea what I'm talking about you are probably too young, or if you have this song stuck in your head now..... you're welcome!

But seriously, they had some SUPER CUTE stuff! I also find it hilarious that a $50 dress back in the day sounded like a fortune, and I was too broke to shop there. Flash forward to now, a $50 dress sounds like a steal, and I am too broke to shop most bloggers' liketoknowit accounts!!

This button tie up dress is the ultimate summer dress! It has a light material and adorable stripe pattern with a waist sash. Not to mention, I am always a sucker for big buttons. My purse is from Forever 21. I consider myself a Forever 21 lifer! Haha!! I have never stopped shopping there, and I always find something cute when I go, especially accessories. The sandals are a Target find....enough said there. I linked everything below.

Outfit Details:

P.S. If you are local to Memphis, go check out the new coffee shop downtown, Comeback Coffee! I am obsessed with this space, and clearly I like the drinks! I never put mine down!! Bahahahaha

Evan Lilly's 6th Fairy Birthday Party

Who knew it would be so hard to find fairy decorations for a little girl's birthday party?! Like they do not exist, but the party was a hit!! It was a beautiful day in Memphis, and the old fashioned backyard party turned out great!

We made it pretty simple with crafts, facepainting, pizza, and cake! My mom actually got Evan an extraction fairy kit for Christmas. Turns out it's great for group activities. It comes with 12 eggs and 12 chisel tools to extract the Fairy! I ordered another box and we had plenty for everyone. I wish I would have done a test run before, because they definitely take some adult help for this age. However, it was fun nonetheless! The kiddos who wanted a fairy were committed and got it out and those who lost interest moved on to another activity! Ha!

I also purchased little bird houses from Michaels for $1 each, and the guests painted and decorated "fairy houses!" Michaels also had a great deal on buckets of craft supplies for only $5!! I got 2 buckets of paints and a bucket of crayons that I sat on a table with fairy and pirate coloring sheets.
Crafts...... Check!!

We hired Fairies and Frogs to facepaint! I highly recommend them if you are local! They were fabulous to work with, super sweet, and did an amazing job!
Faceprint..... Check!

I set up a small table with a few snacks for the first hour of the party. I chose things that could be outside and easy to eat for the kids. We did fruit skewers, pretzels, iced animal cookies, and trail mix. I also set a bucket of bottled water out. After an hour into the party we brought out pizza and juice. You can get $6 medium sized pizzas from Papa Johns if you carry out. I threw out a bunch of blankets for the kiddos to sit on while they ate. They loved having a picnic!!
Snacks and Pizza........ Check!

Next was time to sing Happy Birthday and eat cake! Evan and I picked out a ready to buy Kroger cake, and honestly I think it was $12. I didn't hear one child complain!
Cake..... Check!

After cake, the kids ran and played and had the best time! I also bought hula hoops and chalk from the Dollar Tree to have some extra activities.

As for decorations, we kept it pretty simple with a photo booth, fresh flowers, and a couple decorations from Party City. I also purchased fairy wings from the Dollar Tree and pirate hats from Amazon.

This might be my most favorite party EVER for Evan Lilly! I didn't go too over the top with decorations, really tried to focus on it running smoothly, and the guests having loads of fun! I also really focused on a budget and not spending too much money. My only regret is I didn't get near as many pictures as planned!! Next year, I have got to remember to give someone that job. Overall, we had a blast and I hope everyone had as much fun as we did!!

Spring Break Favs

Typical me, I started this Thursday and finished today! But whatever, here we go.... ha

Right now I am sitting outside of Evan Lilly's dance class and trying to figure out how in the world she turned 6 today! I mean I know how... It has been 2,190 days since her birth. I get that! But geez time is flying. I feel like this is the ongoing story with my girlfriends and me. One minute we were 19 living it up at The Spot (a Memphis club that no longer exist hahahaha) and now we are all in so many different stages of adult life, but time nonetheless is fleeting. As I am sure, many who are 20 years ahead of me feel, and those 20 more years, and so on and so on....

This is why, I am thankful Insta and Facebook went down over Spring Break. It's like the Lord knew I needed to part with trying to be current and be present with my family! I can't get this time back and I wanted to take in as much as possible. For that, I am so THANKFUL! Don't get me wrong, in the middle of social media being down I thought the world was coming to an end and Dream Lilly would never recover. Just ask my mom! But sure enough, it came back, and I picked up right where I left off. However, this time I let our vacation finish before I got back to the Insta stories.

I wanted to share with y'all a few of my current favs from our Spring Break vacation!

One of my favorite spring trends is to throw a sweater over a dress or jumpsuit. Not only is it cute, it's super practical...Especially for those chilly days that warm up quick! I have had these two pieces forever, but here are some I found that are similar :)

I am OBSESSED with this swimsuit! Y'all are probably going to kill me, because the boutique I purchased it from is sold out. BUT, they have lots of cute suits, and I am hoping they get more of the snake high waisted. Anyways, it's worth a look to see if there's anything you like!

Evan's suit is from Target. I think it is so simple and cute. I also loved the idea of not putting her in pink for once!

Next, these Nude Block Heels are everything! I love a good nude heel that you can dress up or down.

Have a great week!

You Are Enough

HEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOO everyone! My last blog post was on September 9, 2017!! It's crazy how time flies! I started this blog with big hopes and dreams, but honestly not exactly sure what those hopes and dreams were at the time. I knew I wanted to try something different and put myself out there. I wanted to share my passions and have a creative outlet. However, in the first 2 short years of blogging, I went from wanting to put myself out there to constantly comparing and telling myself I wasn't good enough. I was comparing my pictures, feed, stories, posts, and telling myself I wasn't good enough to be a blogger. I feel like we do this all the time in the world we live in. We are constantly comparing what we have or don't have, how we look, our families, cars, homes, the list goes on and on.....

For the past few months I knew I wanted to relaunch my blog, but do it different this time. This time I have zero expectations. This time I am taking off the pressure and just being me. This time I am going to share things I love just because I love them. This time I am enough! Let me just say, I did not feel this way over night. Hence the reason my last post was in 2017. It has taking time to figure out what exactly I want to do. And honestly, all I want to do is share life, Jesus, and the pretty things I find along the way.

Yesterday morning in my quiet time, I talked to God about what my first blog back should be about. I wasn't sure if I should share my newest shoe finds, new arrivals from Dream Lilly Boutique, a house update.... Instead, I felt Him say, just be you! I thought if I am going to be me, then I am going to relaunch this blog with honesty! Tears started to fall down my face and then I opened up "Jesus Calling" to read:

"Stop judging and evaluating yourself, for this is not your role. Above all, stop comparing yourself with other people. This produces feelings of pride or inferiority; sometimes a mixture of both. I lead each of My children along a path that is uniquely tailor-made for him or her. Comparing is not only wrong; it is meaningless."

WOW! He just confirmed everything I needed to know. I am enough. You are enough! Jesus loves us and really that's all that matters in the end. So, I thought what better way to relaunch a blog than to reintroduce myself,  and let you know that no matter where you are in life YOU ARE ENOUGH!

I am excited to be back and this time I am just going to be ME!

Memphis Fall Happenings and Fall Fashion Trends

Happy Weekend! Although, my heart is currently breaking for anyone in Irma's path. My grandparents have a place in Palm Coast and my family lived in Naples for nearly 10 years. I am praying for all of our sweet family and friends who have evacuated and those who chose to ride out the storm. We are praying for your comfort and safety. You always have a place to stay in Tennessee!

It's hard to believe the destruction these hurricanes have been causing! We felt a bit of Harvey in Memphis, but have been blessed with some beautiful fall weather since then. Thursday night we went to the Levitt Shell in midtown Memphis to hear the North Mississippi All Stars. It was an evening of family and fun! Everyone was having such a great time all around us. I truly miss the Shell being so close to our backyard. If you are local, here is the schedule to the Shell's fall concert series. It's always a good time!!

With fall in Memphis, comes lots of events and festivals. I wanted to share some we will be attending plus some fall trends that our on my current must have list!

That's where we are heading to day! Follow along on my IG stories to check out the festival! It is going on today and tomorrow.

What's fall without football? Due to Hurricane Irma our game scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled. Therefore our next game is next Saturday and it's going to be a good one. Memphis is playing UCLA. This game will be nationally televised and is a big deal for our team! We will be there Friday and Saturday tailgating, getting ready for the 11 am kickoff on September 16th. Memphis also plays Southern Illinois on September 23rd at home.

Before we can tailgate on Friday, my brother is coming to town and we are running the Cooper Young 4 miler with my dad. This race is so much fun and always takes place the night before the Cooper Young Festival! Another great fall event in Memphis. Unfortunately, we seem to always have a home game that weekend and don't make the festival but at least we get to do the race!

Concerts
AHHHHHH! We have two awesome concerts coming up next weekend! Needtobreathe at Mud Island Amphitheater on Saturday and Bruno Mars at the FedEx Forum on Sunday! I will be at both! Next weekend is going to be pretty epic!!

Choose901 has an awesome list of all the happenings this month organized by day! Check it out here

Fall snuck up on me this year! I was way more prepared with fall must haves last year! But here's a few things on my list!

That's right ladies the Velour suits are making a comeback! I can't say I am not excited! These things are so comfy! If only I would have kept all of mine from college!
Plaid
Plaid is always a fall staple! I am obsessed with this top! It will be arriving to Dream Lilly Boutique very soon! ;)
Booties
Another fall staple and another item arriving to Dream Lilly Boutique today!

The dramatic sleeve is in and I can't get enough of it!

And talking about ruffles! Another fall trend.....

Hope yall have an awesome weekend!
I just previewed this post and realized I STILL haven't fixed my blog! I know what I'll be doing this weekend....I think! =)

Memphis Fun and Local Swag

Hello Fall!!! Ok, I know it's not officially fall yet, but our first University of Memphis football game is this Thursday! Therefore, in my book it is fall!! Spring and Fall are the absolute best in Memphis, and this past weekend was no exception. We took a party bike ride for my best friend's birthday!! Rivercity Pedalers were awesome! This was our second time to use them and I can't say enough good things about them and how much fun we had! If yall saw my insta stories, then no doubt you saw how much fun ;-) (Sorry for my terrible singing!! =) haha)

Shout out to all my girfriends who sported their Dream Lilly tanks!! We love our town and these tanks are SO comfy! The color options are endless, so if you are interested shoot me a message and I'll get you all set up.

My hubby's shirt is from another local company, Sache. We have lots of t shirts from them and love every single one. Another awesome spot to find fun Memphis swag!

I hope you have a GREAT week!
