I absolutely love this time of year, but I would be lying if
I didn’t tell ya’ll it also stresses me out a bit. Our calendar is absolutely
full and trying to not go overboard because we don’t have an endless budget
gives me a bit of anxiety. A bit of anxiety, actually more like full blown panic attacks!! But that’s my truth
and reality! This morning I was praying, while getting ready for work, and
asked God to be with me this holiday season! I prayed for a calm spirit and God’s
help to pay attention to what really matters. It is a season to remember our
Savior and celebrate His birth! A season
to pay attention to how really THANKFUL I am for Jesus Christ, because nothing
would be what it is without Him. Thanks for letting me get a little real with
ya’ll! I really do LOVE this time of year but wanted to share some of real life
too ;)
I love traditions and I love how I can already plan what I
would like to have in my closet for Christmas weekend. Today I am sharing a
little bit what we do over Christmas and of course, our attire!
Christmas Eve is our night to dress up! Well, Evan Lilly and
I dress up and my hubby wears a somewhat tacky Christmas sweater. He’s worn it
the last three years and to be honest, I kind of like it! It’s pretty retro and
makes me feel like we are the Grizwolds!! Here is what I am “planning” for
Christmas Eve. All details are linked under the picture =)
We host Christmas Eve dinner at our house and after everyone
leaves we open our Christmas Eve gifts, which are always Christmas jammies! A
sweet tradition my mom and dad started. I haven’t decided on our family pj’s
yet, but throwing in a few accessories for myself ;)
And finally, Christmas day is a bit more casual for us. We
are bee bopping around town and like to be comfy! I LOVE everything about this
look! Comfortable and cute!
What are you planning to wear over the holidays?
XOXO,
