Kitchen Remodel Update #1

Wow! You guys I am already feeling the Christmas crunch and it's not even Thanksgiving yet!! I just love this time of year and getting all the decorations out. I finally started today and have one tree done! It's a little difficult to think holiday decor when our house is still in need of everyday decor. But, I am really loving this process and glad that I am taking my time before jumping in. Our kitchen is probably the very first room I started with when we moved in. I would love to have an endless budget and build my very own perfect dream house. However, that is just not the case and I have learned how to embrace that. Instead I try to get a room to look the way I like without breaking the bank. =)

So, here is a look at our kitchen before.....
I wanted to make a few updates that fit more my style. I had the cabinets painted white. Macaroon Cream to be exact, and changed out the hardware. Sorry, I don't have a clean kitchen pic of the cabinets after they were painted.

From there I ordered the table, side chairs, accent table, and Betsy!

Next, I decided on a paint color for the walls. I have had paint samples on my walls for months, and finally I decided on Ponder by Sherwin Williams. It's a beautiful color and I am really happy with how it turned out. But to be honest, I could blog an entire post about Ponder. In fact, maybe I'll just do that.

That brings me to what I have today!

And finally, you might have seen my vision board on Instagram. Here are some pieces I hope to have by the end of the year, including a new light fixture over the main kitchen area. Other items like flooring, a new sink, and countertops are on my wish list!

Thaks for stopping by! You can find the sources to my kitchen below.

And P.S. Mrs. Meyer's brand is the bomb! I have the cleaning spray in the Christmas Iowa Pine Scent and it makes my house smell like a Christmas tree farm!

XOXO,
